(1892) American Neo-Freudian psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Harry Stack Sullivan was born. He believed that the personality lives in a complex of interpersonal relationships.

(1895) Danish biochemist and physiologist Henrik Dam was born. He won the 1943 Nobel Prize in Medicine for his discovery of vitamin K and its role in the human body.

(1941) Canadian medical scientist, and physician Frederick Banting passes away. He shared the 1923 Nobel Prize in Medicine for his co-discovery of insulin.
