(2) (1870) American zoologist Frank Rattray Lillie was born. He is known for his work in embryology and cell differentiation, the process where a cell becomes specialized to perform a specific role.
(3) (1925) American scientist Leonard Solomon Lerman was born. He is remembered for his work on DNA, such as how different molecules bind and interact with DNA.
