(1942) British professor, medical doctor, and endocrinologist Lesley Rees is born. She has improving medical education and published over 300 articles in peer-reviewed journals, many on endocrinology.
(1942) Hungarian microbiologist, medical researcher, and blood donor organizer István Rosztóczy is born. He is known for his research on interferon, a group of proteins which are released in response to pathogen exposure.
