Shanzeh Mumtaz Ahmed is a freelance medical writer and editor, and one of our science correspondents. Her professional writing niche is in rare disease, infectious disease, and gut health. An immunologist by training, Shanzeh did her graduate work in the field of autoimmunity, specifically multiple sclerosis.
