Editor’s Note: New and Improved!

New and Improved!

We ring in the beautiful and colorful fall season with a slightly modified –albeit better– Clinical Trials Canada magazine. You told us what you wanted and we listened.

We now feature shorter and easier-to-read health articles; updates on drug and medical device developments (check out the new Research and Development section); and more of your personal stories.

Thank you for your suggestions!

In this issue, we discuss treatment options for osteoarthritis, explore the generic drug industry and sit down with IRB services president, Jack Corman, to discuss research ethics and participant safety.

We also feature the touching experience of a cancer patient involved in a clinical trial.

I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Nathan Pingitore, the winner of our first survey contest. Thanks for participating. Hope you’re enjoying your new camera, Nathan!
