Can I keep my own doctors and pharmacy?

Yes, as a Resident, you may elect to keep your primary care physician and any other doctors you have or begin a new relationship with a local physician or specialist; it’s entirely up to you.

The Whitney Place Tapestry Program, offered at our Natick, Northborough, Sharon and Westborough locations, is an innovative program for seniors living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. The program is designed to help those with memory impairment live life to the very fullest by minimizing its impact from day to day.

Assisted living gives Residents a little help with their daily routines, while they maintain their personal independence and social interactions.

Skilled nursing centers (nursing homes) give Residents with long-term medical needs 24-hour care in a home-like environment, and recreation as their abilities allow.

There are no visiting hours; Whitney Place is home to our Residents. You’re welcome to have guests visit whenever you’d like, including overnight in your apartment.

Yes, there is a nurse on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

At the time of lease signing, you are responsible for your first month’s rent (pro-rated to the day of the month you join us), last month’s rent and our one-time assessment fee. Our notice period is 30 days, which may be given at any point during the month.

Yes, we have a full range of services available on-site at our locations.

Our all-inclusive pricing is listed here on our website; you’ll find our starting at pricing with our floor plans section.

Our team receives training well beyond state requirements for this specialized care. During their orientation, all assisted living staff are introduced to our Tapestry Program’s methods and facets.

Those caring directly for Tapestry Residents receive additional training annually, with strong emphasis on communication skills. They learn best practices, supporting Residents individually and in group situations through the introduction of familiar items for memories and a calming influence; Vigorous Mind intellectual games; daily exercises; focusing on Resident interests; and much more.

We Offer a "Continuum of Care"

SALMON Health and Retirement’s senior living and healthcare options address older adults at different stages of their lives, from when they’re completely independent to meeting the needs they may require as they age. That results in a continuum of care.

Our range of services includes retirement communities for active adults, assisted living residences, specialized assisted living with memory care, rehabilitation and skilled nursing centers, home and hospice care.

Salmon Family Values

The inspiration to deliver a healthier, richer life for those we serve runs three generations deep in our family and is something we believe our entire team strives for every day. That’s because founder Helen Salmon, a nurse who instilled compassion and responsibility, set our standard when she said we needed to serve others “just like family.”

Following Helen’s lead, people on the SALMON team have a habit of pitching in, working together to create the best experience for those we serve, and each other.

A History of Service

We have remained family owned and operated since our founding in 1952 by Helen and Daniel Salmon, Sr. When their son Danny, Jr., and his wife Dorothy took the reins in the 1960s, they began building and expanding the scope of services. Today, third-generation family members Matt and Andrew Salmon are actively involved in the daily operations of the organization’s campuses.

Throughout the years, the Salmons have brought an unwavering commitment to excellence and a genuine concern and respect for each individual.
